Ingredients
- 1/2 Onion
- 12 Chili Pods
- 3 Cloves garlic
- 1 4 cup container of beef broth
- 12 Dried Red Chilis (New Mexican)
- 3lb Beef chunks
- 2 bay leafs
Directions
- De-seed chilis
- Add to a pot
- Onion
- Garlic
- Chiles
- Broth
- Bring broth to a boil
- Let simmer covered for 10 minutes
- Stir & Simmer for 10 more minutes
- Remove from heat and transfer contents to a blender plus
- Oregano
- Cumin
- Blend until smooth
- Brown beef
- Add sauce to beef + 2 bay leafs
- Simmer until sauce thickens
Notes
- You can use chicken broth if in a pinch
- Replace broth with 4 cups of water + appropriate amount of bullion
